Solutions
Armeka's over 35 years of experience in protecting sensitive equipment is at your disposal when you turn to us for damper design and dimensioning.
Damper design
Dampers are dimensionied for each application using Armeka's proprietary ARMESHIELD design program developed specifically for our products. To determine the damper specifications, information such as the installation method, attachment points, weight of the protected device, and other available data is required.
We utilize the following data, among others, in the design process:
Peak acceleration (g)
Duration (ms)
Lowest frequency (Hz)
Highest frequency (Hz)
Operating environment
Corrosion risk
We are more than happy to assist you with any questions you may have about damper design.
Damper testing
Our testing equipment is a tool specifically designed for Armeka to ensure the quality and verify the damper dimensioning.
The testing system measures various vibrations and forces of the damping elements across different frequency and amplitude ranges, as well as under static loading.
The results allow for the determination of the characteristics of different types of dampers and ensure their suitability for the intended purpose.
The structure of the testing equipment also allows testing in terms of tension, where the highest stress loads are typically encountered.
Basic test sequences are divided into two main areas: dynamic and static testing.
